Hazael E. West papers, 1924-1931.

Collection consists primarily of West's correspondence with Walker, members of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and others (1924-1930), and provides a vivid look at radical/communist movements in the United States in the late 1920s, with particular emphasis on the involvement of women in those movements. Also includes issues of "The Daily Data Sheet of the Key Men [and Women] of America Dealing with Radical and Subversive Movements" (1927); an account of an interview between Jane Addams, Mary E. McDowell and members of the "Military Intelligence Association" (1926); a copy of a document entitled "How the Communist International Formulates at Present the Problem of Organization" (1931); and other miscellaneous notes and memoranda.
